The other with mini Play Dough and Party Favor Clackers for the toddlers.

Disney On Ice!

Natalie and I had some just us time today as we went into Atlanta to see Disney On Ice: Celebrations. After passing by 80 thousand stands selling stuff where she repeatedly asked for a "round and round" and I tried to talk her into something didn't cost 3 weeks worth of work, I gave in and became one of THOSE moms. I did limit her use of the toy during the show but at one point when they were doing a bit from Tim Burton's Halloween Whatever and she (and all the other 3 year olds there) were bored I let her have at it.

She's pretty cute, huh?

Vacay!

~ Aaaah, The Beach ~

Harbor Docks at Sunset

View from our hotel room

'They' say the way to keep a healthy marriage after kids is to be who you were before kids. Josh and I were travelers. While we've taken several trips since the kiddos arrived, none have been the of our spontaneous "hey, let's go..." nature until this. Josh's parents watched the girls for 5 days for us so we could get back to being... well... us. I was a "good girl" and kept the camera in the bag most of the trip. There was an afternoon of putt putt, hours under the umbrella on the beach, shopping, reading, eating, a rainy afternoon at the movies, and endless aimless walks on the beach that are preserved only in my memory bank. It was a great vacation, and although difficult and even tear jerking at times, it was great to be away from the girls and the daily 'mom' duties. Josh and I think maybe we'll make this an annual thing!

The Party

Happy Birthday, Sweet Lindsey...

Thanks Mom, for the cakes!

Lindsey feeding me lunch.

Not accustomed to crawling in a dress, Lindsey got a little upset until we used a clothes pin to hold the skirt back.

Presents!

(Coats family, that is a dancing and singing Mickey ~ the hit of the party!)

See ya next year!

Where's Lisa?

I know what you're thinking:
"Wow, it's been 3 days since Lisa's last post. We know she had the birthday party. Where are the pictures? She also hasn't commented on my last post. Where is Lisa and why hasn't she posted?"

Here's your answer:

Lisa hasn't posted because immediately following Lindsey's fantastic party she packed her bags, packed up the kids, shipped them off to Grandma's house and she and her hubby drove to Destin, Florida. She's having fun being a (some what grown up) kid again playing at the beach, watching Eglin's planes do stunts over the ocean, drinking drinky-drinks, sleeping until 10, and now, after all that, she's off to play putt-putt. She may even do it all again tomorrow and the next day.

So, quit your worrying, my friends, she will return. And she may even have a few pictures for you to drool over.
