First Together Bath

Sweet Big Sister Natalie went right to work making sure Lindsey got clean.
I guess they'll have fun together in the tub when they're a little older.

=)

Sick Days

I'm sick with sinus crud. Natalie's sick with fever and cough. Lindsey's got a bad snotty nose. I predict phone calls and visits to doctors in our very near future!

I the mean time, here are Nurse Lisa's instructions:

5.5mL every 4 hours

3-4 sprays, frequently

Hold the Head. And the Arms. With third hand place in the nose and Squeeze.
Often enough to piss the baby off, then love on her to make her better.

Seep 1 teabag in 10 ounces water with way too much sugar.

Thomas, Little Einsteins, Word World...
Desperate Housewives, Sex and the City, Friends...
as needed.

Open. Close. Match colors. Mix colors. Do not throw.
(Last years eggs, brought up from storage. Instant entertainment for Natalie.)

I Heart Target

I mean it.

I Big Red Puffy Heart Target!

I Heart Target...

for their awesome new all plastic buggies.

for their Starbucks.

for cup holders on the buggies to put your Starbucks.

for having Natalie's "cow milk" in gallon size.

for having an under $3 toy section to replace the outdoor toys that got icky last summer.

despite the fact that the mac-n-cheese is on a separate aisle from the other pastas.

for $4 shorts for Natalie to play in and ruin and I won't care.

para tiene muchas libras en Espanol para Natalia.

because you can return anything with an active registry, even with no receipt.

for giving out a ridiculous number of $5 coupons for their grand opening.

for being only 15 minutes from my home now, rather than 30.

for always being there for me, helping me cope through life at it's toughest with it's awesome retail therapy abilities.

Thank you, Target.
Thank you for coming to Canton.
I heart you.

Spring Haikus

While doing this morning's dishes I was thinking of my favorite season and reflecting in how glad I was that it has arrived. I came up with two Haikus; hope you like them.

Spring

daffodills and swings
picnics, playgrounds and sun dresses
so glad to see you

cleaning and yard work
bearing skin and crash diets
must you come so soon?

Happy Spring!

Every year, for my personal celebration of the transition from Winter to Spring, I've taken Natalie's pictures with the daffodils I planted our first autumn in this home. This year I was afraid the late cold snap and snow would disturb my little ceremony. Much to my delight, today reached 72 degrees and I had the treat of having two subjects to photograph with daffodils! I chose to take them out separately for pictures. This provided some personal one-on-one attention with each of them and it didn't require two people with very different types of short attention spans to look at the camera at the same time. =) Here are 6 of my favorites from today. Happy Spring to you all!

What's More Fun?

What's more fun than holding your foot?

Holding Your Bottle!
What's more fun that holding your bottle?

Holding your Foot AND your Bottle!!!

new Title

So I've been thinking a lot lately about what a sweet baby Lindsey is and how she's growing so fast and how Natalie is no longer a baby or a toddler but truly a big girl who uses the potty and picks out her own clothes and uses full sentences. Then I started thinking about my blog and the title and how the title just didn't seem to fit anymore. And then, on the drive home one day a new one hit me. I've toyed with it for several days now and it fits:

Little Women

MY Little Women!

Accessories!

It's amazing what a little accessory can do!
It can turn our handsome young man into a beautiful baby girl!

Sorry, Lindsey! =)
